Dottie grew up in Southern California, raised by a faithful single mother who made sure she was in church every time the doors were open. Though she prayed to receive Christ at 12, she drifted from Him soon after. At 16, her family moved to the desert, where she encountered the love of Jesus through His people in a powerful way. Their care brought her back to Him, and she recommitted her life to Christ, gaining what she describes as “many families” along the way.

God then led Dottie to Oregon, where she married an Associate Pastor and spent 17 years as a ministry partner, housewife, and homeschooling mom. In 2016, the Lord directed her back to her California desert home, where she has continued to serve Him faithfully as a working, homeschooling, single mom. Dottie is daily in awe of how God provides and works out every detail of life for His glory.

Her life verses are Proverbs 3:5–7, Isaiah 55:8, and Romans 8:28, which remind her to trust God’s higher ways and His perfect plans.
